Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County receives funding from local charitable trust, United Way

  Board members representing Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County today joined representatives of United Way of Nodaway County , which presented Habitat with an allocation of $5,000 to support its future partnerships and home construction.  In addition, Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County was awarded $25,000 this week from the Gladys M. Rickard Charitable Trust, a private foundation in Maryville that focuses on funding projects that benefit the Nodaway County community.

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County accepts donation from Ten Squared Men

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County accepts donation from regional FCCLA group

Board members representing Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County today accepted a donation of $373 from Region 1 of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).  Region 1 officers chose to support Habitat for Humanity because the organization matches the ideals and values of FCCLA by supporting communities and families in need through home construction.  The money gifted to Habitat was raised during FCCLA’s fall regional meeting, where members of Region 1 passed buckets in a “Miracle Minute” race to raise funds by donating change. Board members accept donation from US Bank

  Board members representing Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County today joined representatives of US Bank, who presented the organization with a donation of $10,000 to support its future partnerships and home construction.    Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County is a non-profit, nondenominational Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and invites people from all walks of life to work in partnership to build houses with individuals and families in need. It offers partner families an opportunity to help themselves, to own a decent, affordable home, for which they pay and maintain.    Partner families invest hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” into building their homes and the homes of others. The houses are sold to partner families at no profit and with no interest charged. Mortgage payments are placed in a revolving fund and used to finance additional houses.

Habitat of Nodaway County accepts donation from Today’s Civic Women

Today’s Civic Women presented a donation of $500 today to Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County.    Habitat was one of two local organizations to receive the donation from proceeds of Today’s Civic Women’s lemonade stand at the Nodaway County Fair.

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County accepts donation from Grandma’s Kitchen

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County recently accepted a donation of $2,380 from “Grandma’s Kitchen.” Pictured are left to right are Joe Ford, Joan Schneider, Karla Rusco, Frances Hook, Jonathan Mitchell and Travis Stokes. Both Rusco and Hook represent Grandma’s Kitchen at the Presbyterian Church.
