Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County announces family for 10th home project

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County will partner with Chandra White to build its 10th home this year in Maryville. Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County’s Executive Board recently approved her application and surprised White with the news on Monday morning during a gathering at First United Methodist Church in Maryville. White is a single mother of two children – Bryla, 11, and Karsen, 8. A recent divorcĂ©e, White and her children currently live in a two-bedroom apartment, and renting a three-bedroom apartment is not a viable option for them. White is employed by the Children’s Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services. When construction of their new three-bedroom home is complete, White will purchase the home with a zero-interest loan. Habitat and its volunteers will build the home at 416 S.
