Habitat of Nodaway County to partner with building trades program on 2020-2021 home build


Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County is pleased to announce it has established a partnership with the Maryville R-II School District and its building trades program at the Northwest Technical School for future home construction projects.

The boards of Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County and the Maryville R-II School District approved a memorandum of understanding this month that will help local students acquire profession-based learning while completing the home for Habitat and its next partner family by June 2021.

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County accepts donation from regional FCCLA group

Board members representing Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County today accepted a donation of $373 from Region 1 of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).  Region 1 officers chose to support Habitat for Humanity because the organization matches the ideals and values of FCCLA by supporting communities and families in need through home construction.  The money gifted to Habitat was raised during FCCLA’s fall regional meeting, where members of Region 1 passed buckets in a “Miracle Minute” race to raise funds by donating change. Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County announces 15th partner family

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County has announced its partnership with Hilary Steinman to take ownership of its next home this year in Maryville. Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County’s Executive Board surprised Steinman with the news on Jan. 10 at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, where she has been employed as a custodian for the last six years.   Hilary Steinman is pictured in the center with Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County board members.
